"The Great War Horse of England". They had to be strong enough to carry a fully-armoured knight with weaponry
into battle, agile enough to maneuver quickly, and calm enough to enter and remain in the fray.
Today, because of their gentleness, endurance and elegance, the Shire is the draft breed of choice for
creating strong, beautiful crosses for every discipline.
We are very pleased to have found and imported him, as unfortunately, the Shire is considered "at risk,"
